If you're looking at this page, congratulations! We need more people like you (we're not sure what that means yet, but the fact that you saw "Education," and show mild interest in its present state/ in reforming it says you're OK). Micah James is currently a sophomore Elementary Education major, with a minor in either Spanish, linguistics, or both. As the son of medical missionaries in Haiti, Micah is drawn to the relationship that American schools have with immigrant students. Much more broadly, he's interested in looking at current educational policies, and breaking down which ones are responsible for why America's education system lags behind the rest of the world. Micah is still in the early stages of his major, and lacks expansive knowledge on the most current educational policies. However, as education policy chair of Roosevelt, he is passionate about learning along with other young, energetic students. Outside of Roosevelt, Micah is involved in the Collegium Musicum Recorder Ensemble, and enjoys eating.
